June has been CRAZY busy and July will be CHAOS! I am moving in July so, I am not sure how much time I will have to write blogposts or make podcast episodes. This will probably spill into August because I move at the very end of July so, I probably will still be unpacking at the beginning of August. We will have to just take it week to week. I’ll get back to regular schedule with content around Mid-August. I am excited for this move, and I am excited to be living in a new space

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN JUNE 2026

Because of the move in July, this meant I was very busy in June with finding an apartment and just life. This meant I did not watch nearly anything in the month of June. I made progress on a bunch of stuff, but I did complete a lot of things. I wanted to complete at least 2 more things in June but that did not happen. The 2 things I did complete in June we for podcast recordings. Those handy podcast recordings get me to complete some things every month because I have a deadline and an obligation to have watched the drama in order to talk about it on a podcast episode. The other thing that helped me in June was that both of the dramas I completed were rewatches so, I already knew what was going to happen which meant I didn’t have to watch at normal speed. That will tell you how busy I was in June.

Princess Hours (Kdrama) (rewatch) (VIKI): This was a rewatch for me. I watched it at least 10 years ago. I rewatched it for a podcast episode recording. I had a fun time revisiting it. It was a lot of fun rewatching it because of NOSTALGIA! ON THE OTHER HAND, I had forgotten how TOXIC everyone was. Everyone being toxic was aggravating to watch but also funny and entertaining for me to watch. Objectively, was it a good drama – for me, it was okay. I just thought it was okay on the rewatch. I did have a lot of fun watching it again though. If you want to listen to a full review of this Kdrama, you can head over to Daebak K Rambles Podcast and listen to the Drama Trio talk all about this Kdrama.

RATING: 7/10

The Bad Kids (Cdrama) (rewatch) (IQIYI): This was also a rewatch for me and it was also for a podcast recording. I watched this when it aired back in 2020. It holds up and I still enjoyed rewatching this. I had forgotten some of the plot points so, I still enjoyed rewatching this rediscovering this crime cdrama. One of the best crime cdramas in my opinion. It is still one of my favorite crime dramas that I have ever watched. The acting is amazing-especially the child actors. Crazy that it has been 6 years and these child actors have grown up. The story is slow, but it builds beautifully to the climax. The villains are standouts. You need to watch this if you want to check out a good crime cdrama. You need to watch this crime cdrama if you have not taken the time to watch this crime cdrama.

RATING: 10/10

NEW JULY 2026 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR

WHY DO SO MANY GOOD-LOOKING DRAMAS HAVE TO COME OUT IN JULY! I am going to talk about all of the dramas that look interesting to me that are coming out in July. Will I watch any of them? PROBABLY NOT! July is going to be CHAOS for me so, I doubt I will have the time. I mean I have had time all year and I have a LONG LIST of dramas that I have not gotten to watching too yet. That won’t stop me from talking about the dramas I am excited for though. THIS WILL BE A LONG LIST but hey we have had long lists before because as I have already said, I love talking about all of the dramas I am excited for or just dramas in general. If I know about a new drama – I want, you guys to know about even if it is a genre that you don’t normally watch. Maybe you want to branch out and try something new.

Human Vapor (Jdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JULY 2, 2026] (8 episodes)

This Jdrama is a remake of a 1960s Japanese movie. I randomly came across the trailer on Instagram. The caption was all in Japanese and there were no subtitles and just by watching the trailer, I already knew I needed to figure out what this Jdrama was. Apparently, it is about a man who can transform his body into gas and slip through any barrier. He uses this ability to do crimes. A cop is trying to catch him. I love a good crime drama with a supernatural twist. This reminds me of some old school monster movies like invisible man and that is probably because it is based off of an old Japanese movie. The cast is fantastic in this Jdrama as well.

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 10th Anniversary (KVariety) (VIKI) [PREMIERES JULY 4, 2026] (4 episodes)

I am one of those people who liked Guardian/Goblin. I did not watch it when it aired because I was out of the country, but this drama was the reason why I subscribed to Dramafever (RIP Dramafever) and I binged this drama in 2 days back in 2017. I AM SO HAPPY WE ARE GETTING A REUNION! I watched the trailer of this reunion, and it just brought me back to the drama. They have not aged 😂 So, I know I will have fun watching this reunion. I also love watching these types of reunions for shows. I have watched others and the cast just seem to always have fun together.

The Husband (Kdrama) (Disney +/Hulu) [PREMIERES JULY 4, 2026] (12 episodes)

This one of my most anticipated Kdramas of the year. I am SO EXCITED for it to finally coming out in July. Will I watch it in July – PROBABLY NOT! I am sure some people will compare it to When the Phone Rings. I hope it stands itself apart from that and doesn’t get too much comparison. I definitely hope it has a better ending that that Kdrama. I do hope it has good chemistry and is the romance/thriller I wanted When the Phone Rings to be. I like the cast. I mean Namkoong Min is amazing so, OF COURSE he is one of the reasons I am excited for this drama. I just am PRAYING for it to be a romance thriller I want it to be and not fall flat. I also hope I am not spoiled INTENSELY for this one like I was for When the Phone Rings. Being spoiled made me lost interest in completing the drama a bit. I did still complete When the Phone Rings though.

Mr. Kill (Thai Drama) [PREMIERES JULY 7, 2026] (10 episodes)

I had no idea this Thai drama existed until the trailer popped up on YouTube. It doesn’t look like it is going to be a BL drama BUT it does look like it could be a bromance crime drama or even a cat and mouse chase crime drama. Both of those concepts interest me so, I got interested in Mr. Kill. I have seen some of the cast in other dramas or I have seen them around on social media, but I wouldn’t say I know them enough to know what else they starred in or really would call myself a fan of them and that is ok to me. The story is what got me interested in this drama. I have liked other crime Thai dramas in the past so, I thought why not add this to my plan to watchlist.

The Fire (Thai Drama) (IQIYI) [PREMIERES JULY 11, 2026] (8 episodes)

The last of the series is coming out in July. I guess it isn’t a series, but it is 4 GL Thai dramas that exist in the same universe. I have talked about the other 3 dramas before, and I have them all on my plan to watchlist. I am assuming this one is going to be on IQIYI as well since it is on the poster, but it isn’t on the app yet. This story is about an heiress who meets up with a childhood rival and OF COURSE “sparks fly”. So, think enemies to lover’s trope – I hope it has good chemistry.

The Apartment Job (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JULY 11, 2026] (12 episodes)

This Kdrama I am on the fence about. If it is anything like Vincenzo especially the comedy part, I probably won’t like it. I have never watched Vincenzo but that is because I knew I would not like Vincenzo with its comedy. On one hand, I love the cast. They are a big draw for me. It, OF COURSE, is about corruption and crime so, it is in the genre I love. It is about a man played by Ji Sung who is a former gangster and he runs for apartment resident association to find hidden money in the apartment building but ends up uncovering a bunch of corruption and becomes a local hero. It definitely looks like it has some comedy which worries me. So, we will see if I get around to checking this one out or not.

The East Palace (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JULY 17, 2026] (8 episodes)

This has been one of my most anticipated Kdramas of the year AND YEAH, IT IS FINALLY COMING OUT IN JULY! I hope this is good because it was delayed a bit so, I have waited awhile for this one. The trailer looks great. We already know that Korean can do a historical horror/fantasy drama well. I am ready for another good historical horror drama like Kingdom. I am a little surprised it is only 8 episodes. I thought it would at least be 12 but as long as the story is good, I don’t mind that it is 8 episodes. THE CAST IS STACKED! I am just praying that it lands and is worth the watch.

Spooky in Love (Kdrama) [PREMIERES JULY 18, 2026] (12 episodes)

This is ANOTHER highly anticipated Kdrama for me. JULY IS JUST STACKED WITH THEM! Now, when I heard that Korea was doing a Spellbound remake as a Kdrama, I WAS STOKED! Spellbound is one of my favorite Korean movies. Now since we got a trailer and know more about the Kdrama, it is not exactly the same as the Spellbound plot BUT I’LL TAKE IT! I like the cast. I think Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong will pair well together. This is about a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor who works to solve unsolved murders who falls in love with her. I like that there is a crime twist in this plot since the male lead is a prosecutor, but I am partial to crime dramas. I hope we get access to this one somewhere on a streaming site internationally or I will be very sad.

A Shop for Killers Season 2 (Disney +/Hulu) (Kdrama) [PREMIERES JULY 22, 2026] (8 Episodes)

OH LOOK! Another HIGHLY ANTICIPATED KDRAMA of mine coming out in July. If you have not watched season 1 of A Shop for Killers, do yourself a favor and go watch Season 1 before Season 2 comes out. Season 1 still has one of my favorite opening scenes of all time of a Kdrama. I have HIGH expectations for Season 2 so, I pray to God that I love Season 2 just as much as Season 1. There are a lot of unanswered questions especially about her uncle that we need answered in Season 2 so, I hope they deliver with that. I don’t want to spoil anything about Season 1 so, I won’t say too much but I just hope Season 2 is just as good as Season 1.

Bloody Smart (NETFLIX) (Tdrama) [PREMIERES JULY 28, 2026] (10 episodes)18

I had never heard of Bloody Smart until I started doing research for this blogpost. I watched the trailer and IT IS DEFINITELY HORROR! I don’t much about it. It looks like it is about a town surrounding a boarding school or a boarding school and something weird starts affecting the residents who start dying or going crazy. Apparently, it is based off of a bunch of short stories. We know that Asia can do horror very well and this seems like that will be the case here as well. The trailer looks creepy and if you are a horror fan, this should definitely go on your radar. If you watch Taiwanese dramas, you will recognize some of the cast for sure. I am unsure if this will be formatted like an anthology series or not. We will have to see.

A Bona Fide Killer (Kdrama) [PREMIERES JULY 31, 2026] (14 episodes)

Last but certainly not least, I did not think this was coming out in July but apparently it is coming out on the last day of the month. I am drawn to this Kdrama for 2 reasons. One is the cast. It stars Kong Hyo Jin and Jung Jun Won BUT ALSO STARS LEE SANG YI! We all know how much I LOVE Lee Sang Yi after Good Boy. He plays a cop in this. This gives me Flower of Evil vibes. Kong Hyo Jin plays a legendary sniper for hire/Sniper vigilante who comes back to work from childcare leave and her husband in an investigative journalist who starts investigating her and her true identity. Lee Sang Yi is also investigating her. I hope we get access to this one on a streaming site internationally.

RUMORED CDRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR THAT MIGHT AIR IN JULY 2026

Most of the Rumored Cdramas I have heard about have dates attached to them. I am sure I am missing some of the rumored cdramas for July. The following Cdramas are what I have gathered. There is one with a confirmed premiere date. The rest in this list are just rumored dates or just rumored for July in general. We will see what happens in the month of July. A lot of highly anticipated ones rumored for July though.

Road to Success (Cdrama) (IQIYI) [RUMORED FOR JULY 5] (32 episodes)

Apparently, this is rumored for July and will be announcing a premiere date this coming week. I am curious about this for 2 reasons. I like the male lead, Chen Jing Ke, so he is the reason why I would potentially check this out. I liked him from The Eternal Love series. I am glad to see that he is getting more lead roles. I hope this one works out for him. I also love that this centers around soccer. I played soccer for 20 something years and I would love to watch a drama around soccer. Now, I am one of those people who doesn’t particularly like Esther Yu when she is in this kind of role. I like her more when she is in roles like My Journey to You, so, she is not a big draw for me in this drama.

Blossoms of Power (Cdrama) (TENCENT) [CONFIRMED FOR JULY 9, 2026] (36 episodes)

This is the one cdrama that has a confirmed premiere date for July. It is HIGHLY ANTICIPATED by a lot of people including me. I think EVERYONE is excited for this one. It is another rebirth/new identity story. I AM A SUCKER FOR THOSE! I am ready for another female wants revenge story. I am ready for another frail male lead who is smart and calculating. I am ready for them to team up for revenge. I am curious about the 2 leads chemistry. I just love historical cdramas and China does these so well. We will see if it comes to any other streaming site internationally other than Tencent.

Overdo (Cdrama) (IQIYI/TENCENT) [RUMORED FOR JULY 18, 2026] (33 episodes)

Now I just heard this might be pushed back to a later date, but I am still going to talk about this cdrama. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXCITED FOR THIS CDRAMA! I am anticipating that it will come out in a summer slot. I am curious about the pairing of the 2 leads of Zhang Ling He and Wang Chu Ran. I like a lot of the supporting cast as well. I am excited for the costumes and the trailer looks pretty. Just given of what I have heard of the plot and also the time period that it takes place in, I am anticipating a messy and dramatic plot. I also am anticipating a sad ending. This apparently is the same screen writer as Goodbye My Princess and we all know that infamous ending…

Chasing Dreams (Cdrama) (TENCENT) [RUMORED FOR JULY 20, 2026] (40 episodes)

Now I know I have talked about this Cdrama before, but I don’t remember when. The biggest draw for me with this cdrama is the plot. I am so curious about the female lead. According to the MDL synopsis, the female lead played awakens one day with the ability to foresee the future and she is blind. I hope that part of the plot stays throughout the story and plays a part in the plot. I hope it isn’t dropped halfway through or something. That is what intrigues me about this drama. I am curious about the Chen Zhe Yuan and Zhang Jing Yi pairing in the drama. The guy, Liang Yong Qi, playing the second male already has played a villain in the double and it sounds like he is playing a toxic character again so, I know he will act well.

Love in Red Dust (Cdrama) (IQIYI) [RUMORED FOR MID JULY]

So, I will be honest, I am not really interested in this one BUT I figured I would just talk about it so, you guys know. I like the male lead Wang Xing Yue. I also love Chang Long, who I think is a good actor and is part of the supporting cast. But I know since Chang Long is part of the cast, this will have a lot of comedy in it. I know his type of comedy usually does not work for me. I figured I would still call this out because I know other people will be interested in it since it does star Wang Xing Yue.
