TIME TO TALK ABOUT NEW CDRAMAS COMING OUT IN THE NEXT YEAR OR MORE! I am back this week with a new round up of Cdramas collected at the September IQIYI Drama Conference. Now IQIYI is my favorite Cdrama network so, this list is ALWAYS longer for me because I am always interested in A BUNCH OF CDRAMAS from iQIYI. We will get to other networks later in the year but for now we are starting with IQIYI for 2026. You can go onto the blog and search for other IQIYI new dramas list from previous years as well as other networks – here is the blogpost from last year. These lists are also podcast episodes on the NoSleep4Dramas Podcast so, you can check out these lists out there as well on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and even the YouTube Channel.

So, back in September, IQIYI held its 2026 investors conference where they released a bunch of posters and/or trailers for upcoming dramas. These were dramas that were never mentioned yet OR provided new content to dramas that had already been announced. These are cdramas that we might see before the end of 2026 or cdramas that iQIYI plans to release in 2027 and beyond. iQIYI also talked about dramas that they plan to make in the future. Apparently, iQIYI talked about 350+ things from dramas to donghuas to variety shows etc. I am not going to talk about everything in this blogpost. I am just going to talk about the ones that caught my eye.

This list will span genres. The format will be I will list the dramas out, introduce them a bit with the title, cast and maybe a little synopsis. Then I will say why I am excited for it. There will be links to the MDL page so you can go and look over these dramas yourselves. I will either have the poster or the trailer in the blogpost for you to check out as well so, you know exactly what drama I am talking about. The dramas I mention are also in no particular order.

LET’S LOOK AT SOME NEW IQIYI DRAMAS COMING OUT!

Love Kills Slowly

Director: Cheng Liang (Will Love in Spring)

Leads: Zhong Chu Xi (The Furthest Distance), William Chang (Love’s Ambition), Julia Xiang (The Wanted Detective), Niu Jun Feng (Against the Current)

Zhu Li Zhi fights back, resisting the unequal relationship, ending the engagement, and reclaiming control of her own life. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new poster and trailer for this cdrama. William Chan playing a Psycho – COUNT ME IN! I have always loved William Chan so, I love that he has taken this role. The trailer showed that his character is crazy and VERY toxic. I also have always liked Elaine Zhang’s acting so, I am curious about them being paired up as a couple. This looks like this could be a dark romance which is my thing. I can never forget that image of Willaim Chan dancing to music on a balcony or roof. He just looked so creepy in that scene.

Jin Yi Sou Jin Lu

Director: Lu Xing (Homesick)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Ren Jia Lun (Fate Chooses You), Yu Nan (Legend of Zhang Hai), Li Guang Jie (Born to Be Alive), Jelly Lin (Les Belles)

Synopsis: Tells the story of the son of a disgraced official who assumes a fabricated identity and takes the place of an undercover agent within the Jinyiwei. He becomes entangled in the power struggle between the Noble Consort and the Crown Prince’s factions. Relying on his exceptional “confiscation” skills, he investigates and raids corrupt officials and powerful elites along the way. On one side, his false identity could be exposed at any moment; on the other, he faces nearly impossible confiscation missions under intense time pressure. He must not only rise swiftly through the ranks of the Jinyiwei’s officialdom, but also struggle to survive amid pursuit, suspicion, and constant danger. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI announced this drama and cast at the conference including announcing Ren Jia Lun as the male lead. They released a new set of posters with the announcement. Ren Jialun takes on a role that people are excited to see him do again. He plays son of a disgraced official who assumes a false identity. Ren Jia Lun takes on being a part of the embroidered guard Uniform which is something his fans have been wanting him to do again for years. We all know I love Ren Jialun so any time he has a new drama announced, I am excited for it. I am also one of those people who is excited to see him back in the embroidered guard uniform. This drama is also supposed to have some grave robbing which I am also a BIG fan of.

Enter the Game

Director: Yi Zheng (Love Between Fairy and Devil)

Screenwriter: Wang Xiao Qiang (The Long Watch)

Leads: Qi Lin Guo (My Heroic Husband), Song Zu Er (The Prisoner of Beauty), Wang He Run (Fate Chooses You)

Synopsis: In 1941, Ding Xiao He, who served as the executive director’s secretary of the Shanghai Examination Institute of the Wang Puppet National Government, stood at the crossroads of his life. His direct leader, Lao Tang, was attacked by political enemies. Seeing that he was desperate, Ding Xiao He suddenly discovered that his “sister” Xiao Qing was actually an underground member of the Communist Party of China.

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new trailer, some drama stills and updated cast list during the conference. Honestly, when I first heard of this drama, I thought it would have completely different story. The trailer also has a TON more comedy in it than I assumed it would be but since Qin Lin Guo stars, I should not be surprised by this. Song Zu Er looks great in this drama but I will admit, I never pictured doing this sort of comedy drama. I am SUPER curious about how the comedy will affect this spy/espionage drama. It looks like it might be a black comedy. I do love this time period because of the clothing and sets.

The Leading Stars

Director: UNKNOWN

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Cheng Lei (The Lament of Autumn), Shen Yu Jie (Coroner’s Diary)

Synopsis: A high-octane saga of speed and passion on the open road: Cheng Zhuo—the steady, rational captain of a rescue squad—crosses paths with Ba Yun Ye—the dashing, lone-wolf leader of an off-road team. Fueled by a surge of adrenaline and raw chemistry, they share a night of intense intimacy. Believing this fleeting encounter to be their last, they are astonished to meet again during a rescue mission in the desolate, uninhabited wilderness of Cangya.

Forming a formidable alliance, they work together with seamless synergy to confront challenges ranging from poachers and wolf attacks to blinding sandstorms, traversing the windswept Gobi, treacherous snow-capped peaks, and the dense mists of the forest. The road ahead stretches long, and their next destination is already blinking on the GPS navigator… (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new poster and teaser trailer for this drama during the conference. MAN, THAT NEW POSTER AND TRAILER WERE SPICY! It caught a lot of people’s attention including me. I LOVE THESE KINDS OF DRAMAS! I love the adventure dramas where they might be going grave robbing or on a rescue mission. Cheng Lei has not done many modern dramas so, I am excited to see him in a modern drama and an action one at that. I love the trope of a one-night stand but then they have to see each other again. From the trailer it looks action packed and it was filmed on location which is cool. I also love to see Shen Yu Jie take on a strong woman role. She is perfect for it and it shows. I am very excited for this story and pairing.

A Touch of Green

Director: Chu Yu Ning (The First Frost)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Li Xian (Flourished Peony), Zhang Jing Yi (Legend of Zhang Hai)

Synopsis: The close bond between the Chen and Meng families has lasted for generations, leading everyone around them to naturally assume that Chen Qing Wu and the younger Meng son, Meng Qi Ran, would eventually marry. However, Meng Qi Ran is a free-spirited photographer who constantly evades deep emotional commitment and shuns the stability of marriage. Trapped in this exhausting, unreciprocated pursuit for nine years, and heavily burdened by the emotional pressures of her family, a deeply disappointed Qing Wu finally decides to break free. She leaves her hometown to independently immerse herself in her passion as a ceramic artist, initiating a journey toward self-awakening.

Her departure brings her closer to the eldest son of the Meng family, Meng Fu Yuan. On the surface, he is a highly successful, steady, and intensely restrained tech entrepreneur who maintains a distant public persona. Yet, beneath his calm exterior lies a closely guarded secret — he has been silently harboring a deep, unrequited love for his younger brother’s long-time partner for over six years. Once Qing Wu fully terminates her toxic dynamic with Meng Qi Ran, Meng Fu Yuan gathers the courage to step out of the shadows to protect and pursue her. As old assumptions are challenged and long-hidden feelings come to light, the two must navigate intense family opposition and societal expectations to see if their love can survive. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released its first teaser trailer and a new poster at the conference. This drama has been on my radar for A LONG TIME! Li Xian is in it and I love him so, any of his dramas are always on my radar. This drama sounds messy AND I AM HERE FOR IT! I love some DRAMA in my dramas. I also think the new trailer showed some great chemistry between the leads. I probably have high expectations for this drama.

Beyond The Badge

Director: Li Mu Ge (Light Beyond the Reed)

Screenwriter: Zhao Dong Ling (Ordinary Greatness)

Leads: Zhang Wan Yi (The Rise of Ning), Jiang Wu (The Truth)

Synopsis: Gongsun Jian Jue, a police academy graduate who is unfamiliar with the ways of the world, encounters his mentor, Uncle Qi (Jiang Wu), a highly experienced criminal investigation team captain, shortly after arriving in Bianhe. Uncle Qi is highly skilled at his work and deeply values loyalty and personal bonds, making him a role model in Gongsun’s eyes. However, Uncle Qi does not think highly of Gongsun. Determined to persuade Uncle Qi to accept him as his apprentice, Gongsun quietly resolves to work hard. Whether handling minor and routine cases with the Pu’an Unit or major cases with the Major Crimes Unit, Gongsun remains consistently diligent, rigorous, conscientious, and meticulous, doing everything in his power to apprehend criminals. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI announced this drama along with its cast during the conference. The drama released a new trailer and posters at the conference. It is a crime drama so, naturally I had this on my radar. I was not expecting the comedy in the trailer. I LOVE THIS SCREENWRITER! I have watched a lot of their dramas and they are so good. The screenwriter is a big draw for me and getting this drama put on my radar.

Love Song in Summer

Director: Chen Chang (Love’s Ambition)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Xu Ruo Han (The Lament of Autumn), Johnny Huang (Love Song in Winter)

Synopsis: Forest police officer Li Ze Chuan tragically dies while pursuing poachers, and his girlfriend Wen Xia unexpectedly travels back in time. The two join hands to protect the rainforest, engaging in life-or-death battles with poachers, gradually uncovering conspiracies and confronting their nemesis. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new Poster and its first trailer for this drama during the conference. I find it funny that Johnny Huang had a drama called Love Song in Winter and now has this drama coming out called Love Song in Summer. Will IQIYI do all the seasons with him? This drama intrigued me due to the time travel aspect of it. The trailer had more of the time travel in the trailer and made this drama a lot more interesting to me. I also like Johnny Huang in some of his dramas especially since he does a lot of crime dramas. I am watching Xu Ruo Han in The Lament of Autumn right now and I love her in it so, the cast caught my eye.

Yunchu’s Vengeance

Director: Chu Yui Bun (Fated Hearts)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Esther Yu (Love Between Fairy and Devil), Zhang Yun Long (My Roommate is a Detective)

Synopsis: In her previous life, Yun Chu, the daughter of a noble family, married into a poor household. She devoted herself to her husband’s rise, shielding his family from every storm, only to be repaid with betrayal, poisoning, and the massacre of her entire clan. She swore that if she were ever given another life, she would make the traitors suffer a hundredfold. Breaking free from an endless cycle of fate at the cost of everything, she is reborn. This time, she wields gentleness as her blade and cold resolve as her shield, advancing step by step as she secretly stirs the currents of court politics. She seeks vengeance against those who wronged her and, amid the chaos of a troubled era, to live for herself. Destiny and intrigue, deep love and revenge intertwine. A fated encounter gives rise to her dominion. She turns the world upside down; he defies heaven to rewrite fate. As the winds of the realm rise, a single command from Yun Chu is enough to decide the balance of the world. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released this drama’s first official trailer along with a new poster for this drama. Now, everyone knows I am not the biggest fan of Esther Yu because of her history of playing cutesy characters, but I did like her in My Journey to You. If her character is anything like her character in My Journey to You which it does seem like it is from the new trailer that was released, I will probably like her character in this. I am a fan of Zhang Yun Long so, since he is the male lead in this drama, I am interested in this drama. I am glad to see him getting more lead roles now. This drama is another rebirth story which may sound tiring to people because they are done a lot BUT I EAT THEM UP! Give me all of the rebirth stories! We also have a revenge story here which I also love to watch.

Truth

Director: Len Seng Lou (Enemy)

Screenwriter: Jia Dong Yan (The Immortal Ascension), Wu Yao (Under the Skin Season 1)

Leads: Qin Lan (Story of Yanxi Palace), Zhang You Hao (Eternal Love)

Synopsis: As retirement nears, forensic expert Dong Ming Jian is tasked with training the next generation at the An Tai City Procuratorate’s technical center. He brings in chief pathologist Zhang Han as deputy director, while young assistants Zhao Yi Ran, Ke Hao, and newcomer Luo Xiao join the team. Together, they tackle complex cases—including suspicious drownings and high-profile accidents—navigating both criminal and civil investigations. Through challenges and mentorship, the team grows in skill and purpose, paving the way for Zhang Han to eventually take the lead and carry-on Dong Ming Jian’s legacy. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released some new character posters at the conference. Honestly, I had not heard about this drama until it was mentioned with this conference. I guess that is what this conference is for. I do like Qin Lan. I think she is a very good actress. I don’t know much about the male lead, but I like being introduced to new actors. This is a crime drama so, naturally I am interested in it. I like that it is an ensemble cast so, we have more characters to follow and care about. I think this drama has taken a bit to air. Hopefully this airs soon – the rumor is by the end of 2026.

Since The Red Moon Appeared

Director: Sha Wei Qi (Twelve Letters)

Screenwriter: Bai Yi Cong (Heroes)

Leads: Qi Lin Guo (My Heroic Husband), Chang Hua Sen (The Vanishing Beauty), Jiang Pei Yao (Archives: The Nanyang Mystery), Chen Shu (Imperfect Victim)

Synopsis: Set in a futuristic sci-fi world, the sudden reddening of the moon awakens extraordinary powers in some humans. An ordinary office worker, Lu Xin, unexpectedly passes the test and becomes the ace solo agent of the Special Pollution Cleanup Department. Together with partners, each possessing unique abilities, they resolve various bizarre and mysterious incidents while protecting humanity’s last refuge. Meanwhile, they relentlessly pursue the hidden truth behind the red moon. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released the first official trailer and a poster at the conference. Any time Cdramaland puts out a sci fi drama, I am interested. The premise of this drama sounds very interesting with people gaining superpowers. I also like a lot of the cast, both the leads as well as the support cast. I am very curious what superpowers everyone gains in the drama.

My Life with You

Director: Yi Jun (Overdo)

Screenwriter: Sha Luo Shugan Shu (first drama)

Leads: Wang Chu Ran (How Dare You?), Che Zhe Yuan (Hidden Love)

Synopsis: A cup of “Floating Life Tea” lets one taste the joys and sorrows, separations and reunions of spirits and mortals alike. Spanning across time — from the Republican era to the Northern Song, the flourishing Tang dynasty, and the Warring States period — each tea drinker tells tales of love, hatred, obsession, and longing, recounting regrets of the past alongside journeys of self-redemption, fulfillment, and sacrifice. Hidden within are countless twists of fate and choices of the heart. Life is like tea: after bitterness comes sweetness, and the journey never truly ends. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a poster for this drama, basically announcing it. Some of the support cast caught my eye like Deng Kai. The leads are interesting to me, but the structure and synopsis captured my attention more. I read that this drama has an episodic “story-within-a-story” format. Wang Chu Ran’s character runs a dessert shop and trades her tea for stories so, it sounds like a customer will come in for tea and we learn about their life’s story. I am assuming we will see their story acted out thus the episodic format. We will have to see if that is the case. I am still unsure if Wang Chu Ran’s character and Che Zhe Yuan’s character have a romance or not. This is also a fantasy drama but is republican era time period. I always like that concept because we don’t get enough of those in my opinion.

Shadows of Desire

Director: Bai Yun Mo (Perfect Match), Li Yao Bo (Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox), Xu Fei (Directed lots of Vertical Dramas)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Daniel Zhou (Sniper Butterfly), Zhao Qing (The Immortal Ascension), Xia Zhi Guang (Veil of Shadows), Niu Jun Feng (Against the Current), Ma Qiu Yuan (Key to the Phoenix Heart), Yao Chi (Feud), Wang Jia Yi (Moonlit Reunion), Chen Yu Qi (And the Winner is Love)

Synopsis: Shen Qing Wu was originally an ordinary woman. She entered the military camp by chance. After training, she grew into a heroine general. Not only did she make friends with life and death partners, but she also received guidance and support from her predecessors. She was determined to protect the peace of her country as her mission. During her military service, she reunited with Zhang Xing Jian, whom she had known in the past. Zhang Xing Jian was a civil servant of the dynasty. He entered the game and fought against the treacherous. He was determined to clean up the court, suppress prices, promote agriculture and water conservancy, run schools and academies, and support and promote people with lofty ideals from poor backgrounds. Zhang Xing Jian and Shen Qing Wu had different desires and belonged to different camps, but they eventually came together because of their common ideals. They worked together to quell rebellions, save the weak, suppress mountain bandits, fight treacherous ministers, and repel enemy troops. They broke the monopoly of aristocratic families not to marry ordinary people, stabilized the country, and spent the rest of their lives together. (From MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new poster and a new trailer for this drama at the conference. I know of the leads, but I don’t think I have seen either one in a drama before. I LOVE a lot of the support cast. What really caught my eye was the trailer. Daniel Zhou, in my opinion, looks REALLY good in historical costume. I also thought the lead couple had some great chemistry in the trailer. The trailer had some great cinematography in it as well. I always love seeing a female general and the female lead is a female general in this drama.

Born with Wings

Director: Van Han (The Miracles)

Screenwriter: UNKNOWN

Leads: Mark Chao (Eternal Love), Sabrina Zhuang (You Are Desire), Zhou Yi Wei (The Longest Day in Chang’An)

Synopsis: After her father’s wrongful conviction ruins her family, Jiang Yu Xin falls from a motorcycle queen to an outcast, only to uncover the buried truth a decade later as a lawyer alongside Lang You Yan—and find love. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI released a new poster and trailer during the conference for this drama. I HAD NO IDEA THIS DRAMA EXISTED BEFORE THE CONFERENCE! I know a lot of people are going to have something to say about the age gap with the leads. People are already calling Mark Chao an old man. In my opinion, being in your 40s is not old but what do I know. There is a 16-year age gap between the 2 lead actors. The leads do seem to have some great chemistry in the trailer even with the age gap. I am interested in this drama for 2 reasons. I love Mark Chao and Zhou Yi Wei as actors so, they are a big draw for me. This is also a law drama which I am always interested in. The female lead also seems like a badass. So, we will see.

How a Peacock Burns Its Feathers

Director: Xin Shuang (The Bad Kids, The Long Season)

Screenwriter: Pan Yi Ran (Homesick)

Leads: Qin Hao (The Bad Kids), Tang Wei (Decision to Leave), Jiang Qiming (To the Wonder)

Synopsis: In the fourth year of Xiping, as the Han dynasty’s fate wanes, on a mid-spring day, all things begin to shift unnaturally. In the city of Luoyang, several strangers who had never met before find their destinies suddenly entangled, like puppets on strings, no longer in control of themselves, as they collectively fall into an unknown fate. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI announced its full cast and released a new promotional poster at the conference. I AM SO CURIOUS ABOUT THIS DRAMA! First off, it is supposed to only be like 6 episodes. There is also not that much known about this drama. The cast is a HUGE draw for me because I find this group of actors very interesting to be paired up together. I love all of them and I think they can act very well. The director also is a plus for me because he has directed some FANTASTIC dramas. I am assuming this is going to be a short historical drama but honestly, I am not sure. Again, there is not much known about this drama.

The Return of the King

Director: Wu Qian (Unchained Love)

Screenwriter: Shen Rong (Stealth Walker/Trident)

Leads: Yang Xu Wen (Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty), Wang Hong Yi (Filter), Snow Kong (The Prisoner of Beauty), Zhang Chen Xiao (A Journey to Love)

Synopsis: After returning to his homeland, Han Feng, the Ninth Prince, solves the mystery of the Ghost Soldiers to gain a foothold in the court. Through this investigation, a deadly quest that binds his fate with Wei Zhuang, Zi Nv and Zhang Xian, the Quicksand organization is officially established. Together, these brilliant youths embark on an epic journey of unearthing dark conspiracies and solving mysteries, battling formidable villains and passionately fighting for their ideals and their country. (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI announced this drama at the conference with a concept poster and the cast. The drama announced last week that the drama had wrapped filming in early October 2026. The minute I read this synopsis, I knew this drama was for me. I mean it is a mystery wuxia drama, DEFINITELY something I would watch right now. I love Yang Xu Wen as an actor so, he is also a big draw for me in this drama.

Echoes

Director: UNKNOWN

Screenwriter: Ren Ya Nan (The Double)

Leads: Bai Lu (The First Jasmine), Chen Zhe Yuan (Hidden Love)

Synopsis: After suddenly awakening from a dream, eighteen-year-old Lu Zhao Xi unexpectedly finds herself twelve years in the future. Her former home has been reduced to ashes, and the massacre of her entire family is shrouded in mystery. Inhabiting another person’s body, she risks her life to pursue those responsible amid layers of conspiracies within the imperial court and the inner palace. Tu Yin, the powerful regent who holds authority over the imperial court, harbors a deeply rooted obsession that has endured for twelve years. Meanwhile, the exceptionally beautiful Imperial Noble Consort Yu, who resides in the inner palace, is revealed to share a fate identical to hers. This is a story of destiny and personal growth, filled with intricate mysteries, intense confrontations, and intertwined love and hatred. It is also a romance of mutual devotion and redemption, in which two people move toward each other and remain steadfast in their commitment. This time, Lu Zhao Xi intends to rewrite everyone’s ultimate fate with her own hands (Taken from MyDramalist)

My THOUGHTS: IQIYI announced this cdrama at the conference. Filming is supposed to start in November at some point. I love both of the leads so, they both definitely get me interested in this drama. This has time travel, but the female lead goes forward in time and not backwards which is a twist in the trope. That has me interested as well. Apparently, this drama is an original screenplay and not based on any novel. It is another revenge story which we know Bai Lu and Chen Zhe Yuan can act out well already. I do like the concept poster – it makes Bai Lu’s character more interesting.

One response

  1. Filtering 350-plus announcements down to just the ones that caught your eye is exactly what makes a list like this useful — otherwise an iQIYI conference dump is impossible to watchlist from. The two that jumped out for me were Enter the Game, because a 1941 Shanghai spy story played with black comedy sounds like a hard tone to land, and Echoes, since an original screenplay where an 18-year-old wakes twelve years later in another body has nowhere to hide behind a novel’s plot. I am also glad you flagged the shorter one, How a Peacock Burns Its Feathers at about six episodes, because a tight Luoyang-set historical is much easier to commit to than another 40-episode epic.
