I hope you like the look of the new blog. PLEASE give me feedback.

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN MAY 2026
I managed to get some dramas off my current watchlist once again in May BUT as always (I sound like a broken record at this point), I did not get as many dramas off my current watchlist as I wanted to. This is for 2 reasons. The first reason is one I have said before. I take May off because it is ALWAYS a busy month for me. 2026 was no different. I was constantly out and about which meant I was not watching dramas. So, some dramas that I thought I would finish in the first week of May, I ended up not finishing until the middle of May. I really did not watch much in the first part of May. I also had some bad mental health bouts in the first half of May due to work. I got REALLY stressed and when I get REALLY stressed, I do not watch dramas because I am worrying about everything. Yes, there are times that if I am TOO stressed, I just can’t pay attention to dramas which I know I say I watch the destress. It is a weird thing for me. I still managed to complete some dramas that have been on my current watchlist since January so, I still think I won in May. I am writing this with about a week still left to go in May, so if I manage to complete something else before May ends, I will talk about it in my June Wrap Up Blogpost.
Come and Hug Me (Kdrama) (rewatch) (VIKI): This Kdrama was a rewatch for me so, I might be VERY bias in my review of it. I also LOVE Jang Ki Yong. I actually think this was my first Kdrama I ever watched him in. His acting in this is FANTASTIC! I mean you got a crime mixed with romance scenario which I have said countless time is an AWESOME combo for me. There are some great sweet moments in this Kdrama but it is also VERY DARK! Huh Joon Ho knocks it out of the park with his role as well in this. (I don’t want to give too much away because that would spoil everything). Think of this Kdrama as the precursor of Flower of Evil. If you liked that Kdrama, you will probably like this one.
RATING: 10/10
Culinary Class Wars Season 2 (KVariety) (NETFLIX): I AM ALSO BIAS WITH THIS SHOW! I should have completed this show months ago BUT AT LEAST I COMPLETED IT NOW! Season 2 did not disappoint. I loved the changes except that the Black Coats didn’t seem as underdogs as they were in Season 1. I thought that since the show allows very skilled (famous) chefs to apply to be black coats, the underdog label was sort of watered down in Season 2. I still cried at parts. I LOVE that my favorites went so far in Season 2, but they again did not win. I did like the winner in Season 2 so, I was happy to see the winner at the end. I AM SO SURPRISED I WAS NOT SPOILED ON THE WINNER! I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON 3!! It is going to be so different, and I am curious to see how Season 3 goes.
RATING: 10/10
Blossom (Cdrama) (VIKI): I did not like this as much as I thought I would. The main couple is definitely the highlight for me. It took way too long for them to get together. Somehow, I thought this drama could drop some episodes but also felt like the ending was really rushed. I had a BUNCH of unanswered questions at the end of the drama and some loose threads were not tied up by the end. It had BEAUTIFUL cinematography and OSTs. I could see why everyone loved this drama when it was airing. I felt ROBBED that we only got the gray hair in episode 1 and never again!
RATING: 8.5/10

NEW JUNE 2026 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR
Just like every other month, I HAVE A TON OF DRAMAS I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO! In June, there are quite a few dramas with confirmed dates. I also gave you some variety with countries and also including some movies in the mix. There is not that many rumored Cdramas in June that I am looking forward to, but I still managed to find a few. REMEMBER – I am writing this blogpost with still a week of May to go so, this list is subject to change.

Teach You a Lesson (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JUNE 5, 2026] (10 Episodes)
I HEARD THIS WEBTOON IS SUPER VIOLENT! I think even Korea tried to not have this Kdrama be made because of the source material, but I could be wrong with that. I think I heard that teachers’ unions tried to get the production canceled. Either way, this Kdrama was made and is now premiering in June. I AM SUPER INTERESTED in this Kdrama. It is right up my alley. Last Year, Study Group was one of my favorite Kdramas and this is giving me Study Group vibes. I think I read somewhere that this Kdrama and Study share a universe so, that is cool. This Kdrama is about Korean School teachers not being able to control their classroom and the students just rule the school and it is complete chaos. Korea passes a new Amendement which creates this new governmental organization. This organization comes into these problem schools and “educate” the students. This organization has no restrictions or limitations so, the people on the team can do anything they want or need to do to get the school under control. This description makes sense on why this Kdrama is SO violent.

Viral Hit (Jdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JUNE 11, 2026]
Keeping with the theme of high school and violence, let’s talk about a Jdrama now. Viral Hit is about a student in high school who is at the bottom of the totem pole. He is targeted by bullies. One day he gets into a fight with a student, and it is accidently live streamed. The fight goes viral and so; to earn some extra money, The high school student launches a live streaming channel to stream all his fights and climb the social hierarchy. Now, this Jdrama seems more on the comedy side than Teach You a Lesson, but I am still looking forward to it. The cast looks great for this Jdrama as well.

Per Aspera Ad Astra (CMovie) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JUNE 18, 2026]
This CMovie came out earlier this year and now it is finally coming to Netflix. The trailer looks like a lot of fun. I look colorful and whimsical but also looks like it has a lot of adventure and high stakes. It looks like this movie is sci fi and I am always curious when there is a sci fi movie or drama that comes out of China or Korea or Japan etc. because they don’t come around too often. It is about a student who is pulled out of an exam by a stranger, and he is told that he is in a virtual world. His life is not real and that he is actually a hibernation astronaut. At this moment, the world he has been living is collapsing because their spaceship is heading for immanent disaster. The trailer looks like it has a lot of mind-bending scenes but also some great comedy. It looks out there and a unique watch.

Husbands in Action (KMovie) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JUNE 19, 2026]
Speaking of Comedy, Netflix is also getting this action-comedy movie in June. I do love a good buddy cop scenario and this one fits the bill. It is about an ex-husband who is a narcotics detective. He finds out that his ex-wife has been kidnapped and now must work with her current new husband to get her back. Clearly, chaos ensues. The trailer looks hilarious where the cop husband is just trying to be this tough guy and beating up everyone and the new husband is along for the ride, just trying to not get killed. I am sure somehow; they will make a good team and figure some things about each other through this mission and come to a new understanding. This just looks like a fun movie to turn on and turn your brain off and just watch and enjoy. I also like the actors in this so, that is a plus as well.

Notes from the Last Row (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JUNE 26, 2026]
We got this first teaser of this Kdrama a while ago so, I guess it is coming out at the end of June. It was a very short teaser in Netflix’s 2026 K-Content lineup trailer. This Kdrama is a thriller. It is about a professor who has failed as a writer. He goes to class and dislikes his job and his students. He lives a life where he is disappointed and just can’t achieve what he wants too. He then meets a student who is gifted with writing. From the small teaser that we did see, it is unclear why this is a thriller. I am assuming the student becomes too attached or maybe the professor becomes jealous and does something. Maybe the student is writing about a crime and a professor finds out? Maybe the professor becomes obsessed with the student and their writing, wanting it for himself? I am not sure, but I guess we will find out once it airs at the end of June. I like the sound of this synopsis. We also have Choi Min Sik and Huh Joon Ho in the cast who are known for some of the best villain roles in the Korean drama/movie industry. I also know that Choi Hyun Wook has played some villains as well. I am curious who is going to become the villain in this Kdrama. Is it everyone?

Agent Kim Reactivated aka Manager Kim (Kdrama) [PREMIERES JUNE 26, 2026]
The first trailer for this Kdrama showed up at one of the award shows at the beginning of 2026 so, I have just been waiting for this Kdrama to FINALLY come out. It looks like June is that month. So Ji Sub in a role again where he is a spy or just a person on the revenge path? YES, GIVE IT TO ME! He has done this role before in Mercy for None last year or even on the comedy side of it with My Secret Terius. I will never get tired with him doing these kinds of roles because he does them SO WELL! I hope I get access to this Kdrama so, I can watch it. It is about a man who works at a bank. He is a former spy. His daughter goes missing so, now he must try and save her without revealing all his secrets and his life blowing up.
RUMORED CDRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR THAT MIGHT AIR IN JUNE 2026
I am glad we got some rumored confirmed dates for some Cdramas that I could put below. I know those are HIGHLY Anticipated for a lot of people including myself. I honestly have not seen a lot of rumored Cdramas that I am interested in for June. There is one which I have mentioned before a couple of time that I listed below. I JUST NEED HIDDEN SHADOW ALREADY!!
- Hidden Shadow (NOW Rumored for June 2026)
The rest of the Cdramas that I will talk about below are just rumors and I have no idea if they will premiere or not. So, take this list with a grain of salt. ALSO, I am writing this blogpost with a week still left in May so, more cdramas could be added in that week or we could get rumored dates. I am just giving you the information I have gathered as of the time I am writing this. These dates and dramas have always been subject to change.

The First Jasmine aka Mo Li (Cdrama) (TENCENT) [Rumored for a June 8th, 2026 Premiere] (40 episodes)
I mean ARE WE SURPRISED THAT I AM EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!? I think everyone on the planet is excited for this cdrama and it looks like it is rumored to FINALLY come out in June. It stars Bai Lu and Cheng Lei so, I am excited to see them both. Bai Lu marries Cheng Lei on the same day her sister marries another prince. Cheng Lei plays a crippled prince. We KNOW I love the trope of a sickly or crippled male lead so, I am excited for this. I am curious why the synopsis called out the sister marrying the other prince. That tells me that the brother might be evil and it will become a power struggle, putting the 2 sisters in the middle. Of course, there is a revenge story line in this drama. I am not sick of revenge, but I know some people are. I am just excited to see Cheng Lei and Bai LU team up and work together and of course fall in love in the process.

Archives: The Nanyang Mystery aka Southern Anecdote (Cdrama) (IQIYI) [Rumored for a June 12th, 2026 Premiere] (36 episodes)
I have been excited for this Cdrama since it was announced. It is my list of Anticipated Cdramas of 2026 Blogpost and It has been rumored on and off all year. Now, it seems to have a rumored premiere date so, we will see if this drama FINALLY premieres. I have said this countless times, but I am a HUGE fan of the Lost tomb Series so, since this Cdrama is part of that franchise, I am naturally excited for it. All of the promo material to come out of this drama seems fantastic. I am also looking forward to seeing Zhang Xin Cheng and Ding Yu Xi have their romance in this drama. I am just ready for a good old adventure cdrama.

Spying (Cdrama) (YOUKU) [RUMORED FOR JUNE 2026]
This is a new cdrama that is rumored for June. One I have not mentioned before except in my anticipated cdramas of 2026 blogpost. Obviously, a lot of people are looking forward to this cdrama due to Xiao Zhan starring in it. The rest of the cast looks pretty good as well. I love a good spy drama even though I am behind on watching them. So, I always look forward to a new spy drama coming out. I also know due to the time period, this drama is going to have some pretty costumes. The posters of this drama have really set the mood and I just want a good spy drama with a gripping plot that is thrilling, suspenseful and keeps me on the edge of my seat. I think this cdrama can deliver that. We will have to wait and see if this actually premieres in June and if I have access to it to watch it.

Pull Strings (Cdrama) (YOUKU) [RUMORED FOR JUNE 2026]
I am on the fence about this cdrama. The only trailer I have seen of this cdrama has a lot of comedy in it. We know that I don’t particularly gravitate towards comedy in dramas. I do love a wuxia drama. The thing that catches my eye with this cdrama is the cast. I like Ao Rui Peng since I watched him in Coroner’s Diary. I LOVE Sun Zhen Ni since I watched her in Til the End of the Moon. So, I am curious about their pairing. I think I will at least check this one out if it premieres and see if I like it.
