Well, February so far has been just okay for me - actually 2025 has just been okay for me in terms of drama watching. I completed some things in January but not as much as I wanted to complete. February is looking like it will be the same thing. That is a conversation for the Wrap-Up blogpost next week. It is just the usual things affecting my life and drama watching recently.
THE GOOD THING IS - I am watching more than I was in January - at least in terms of dramas. I am also going to be adding a ton of new things to this list in the next week or so. I just hope I can keep up and not get overwhelmed. We are inching towards the number where I feel a little overwhelmed with the number of dramas I am watching. This is what happens when you do a podcast though and need to watch things for episodes. I am trying to not binge a 60-episode Cdrama a week before the review like I usually end up doing. 😂 Will I be successful? We will just have to wait and see what happens....
It will be interesting to see what I will be watching in the upcoming months - especially with airing Kdramas. We will have to wait and see what premieres in what months and also if they will be available on streaming sites here in the USA. I also seem to only be looking forward to 1-3 airing Kdramas a month these days because those are the amount of crime Kdramas airing right now. So, hopefully I can keep up with everything and add other dramas in to fill in the gaps. I just need to find some balance with this life funk that I have been in since the start of 2025.

KDRAMAS
Study Group - I think this is my favorite thing I am watching right now. I should be finishing it in the next couple of days or so. I am behind on it FOR SURE! I don't know what I was expecting with this drama, but I am pleasantly surprised. I don't think I was expecting the well-balanced character of Yun Ga Min. I LOVE THE DUALITY OF HIS CHARACTER SO MUCH! Now, I knew that Hwang Min Hyun could pull this role off, but I am bias towards him. He is one of my favorite actors. I am so sad that he is in the military right now and we won't be getting dramas from him for a while now that Study group is over. I love the found family in this. Yu Ga Min is like collecting Pokémon in his school as members of his study group. The cinematography of the fight/action scenes are amazing. I love that they kept the feel that you are watching a manhwa within this drama. I sometimes feel like I am watching a comic book play out within the fight scenes with the special effects that happen. I am surprised I have not been spoiled on this because everyone seems to be watching it.
The Witch - I am not sure how I feel about this Kdrama yet. I have watched the first 2 episodes of this drama. I am going to check out at least the next 2 episodes and see how I feel. I clicked play on this drama for 2 reasons. One reason is I love Park Jin Young, and I wanted to see him in a new Kdrama. I think he is doing a fantastic job so far in this role. The second reason why I clicked play on this was the synopsis. It had this mysterious aura about it. The drama asks if the female lead is actually cursed or a witch. She has this mysterious Prescence that you can't quite figure out in the beginning. I was curious how this drama was going to portray this and if it was going to have some mystery to it. I am still enjoying this drama for the synopsis, but the mystery is sort of not there for me because it is explained a bit already in the first 2 episodes. I think there are still some questions to be answered with that. I do like the setup that one episode we get the Female lead perspective and the next we get the male lead perspective. I think that is really unique. The cinematography of this drama is BEAUTIFUL! The two things that sort of making me hesitate with this drama is the pacing and the female lead. The pace of this drama is quite slow. I am glad it is only 10 episodes but somehow the pacing is still quite slow which is hard to do with only 10 episodes. The female lead also is not doing it for me. I don't think her acting range fits the role. I need her to do more and right now she is not doing it for me. So, we will see if I drop this in a couple of weeks or not but for right now, I am still watching it.

KVARIETY
Please Take Care of My Refrigerator Season 2 - I am still really happy that this show is back. I am not caught up yet but maybe I am also not watching it because I don't want it to end. 😂 I don't even know when it is supposed to end. MDL says that it will have 10 episodes but doesn't have an end date. Netflix says it will actually have 12 episodes and end sometime in April. So, we will have to wait and see what happens. I have watched a couple more episodes of this show. Lee Hee Joon and Song Joong Ki shows up in a couple of episodes together which was a lot of fun. The were promoting their new movie on Netflix Bogota on the show. They also have switched up some chefs with some more Culinary Class War Chefs so that has been fun. I just love this show and I want to savor it. I am excited to see who comes on next as a guest.

CDRAMAS
Danger of Her Season 2 - I don't know about this drama. I watched the first episode last night and I wasn't really feeling it. Now, I completed Season 1 last month. It was a rewatch for me and I said I did not like Season 1 as much as I did when I first watched it. I still thought Season 1 was a solid crime drama with some great psychological warfare and revenge. Episode 1 of Season 2 was all over the place in my opinion. First off, they kept most of the same characters but switched out all of the actor/actresses so, it really difficult now to understand who is who if you are used to the actors/actresses in Season 1. It was really confusing to try and keep everyone straight. The plot in episode 1 also seems all over the place. They kind of threw you into it but even though the writers have played it off that it is a direct sequel to Season 1 (which didn't need a sequel), it doesn't have any solid connections so far in episode 1 because it was all over the place. Even the acting wasn't good. I am going to check out a couple of more episodes, but I might just end of dropping this one.
Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty Season 1 - Yeah, I am still watching this. At this point, I need to start it over because I barely remember the 2 episodes I have watched. It still is on the back burner, but I also just have been so bad with watching things lately. I am sure if I was watching at my usual pace of dramas, I would have been made progress or even have finished it by now. I am not dropping it though. I think I just need to start it over.

ANIME
Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective - I am still loving this anime. I think I am loving all of the anime I am watching. I was right in thinking that this anime was right up my alley. I am sort of savoring all of my anime I really should not watch these as they air. I never watch the anime because the episodes are so short so, I just pile them up until I can binge them. I am still loving the Sherlock coding on this anime. I love that the cases are all medical which gives it a nice twist on your usual "crime" investigation trope.
My Happy Marriage Season 2 - I am loving the visuals of this anime. The powers and fight scenes aren't disappointing in this once again. I love that we are seeing more of Miyo connecting with her fiancée. I also love that they both are starting to build their own family with the people surrounding them aka found family (of course). I do think it is a little slow moving with the plot but maybe because I binged Season 1 instead of watching it week to week. I do want to see more of Miyo and her powers, maybe they are keeping her for the second half. I am LOVING the villain in this season - he is interesting to me.
Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow - This anime continues to amaze me every week. THE CLIFFHANGERS ARE KILLING ME! I try to batch watch this anime because I hate dealing with the cliffhangers every week😂 Another anime where the visuals are fantastic. I look forward to the fight scenes every week because the visuals are just fantastic! The episodes are just thrilling every week. These episodes go by so quickly every week.
Zenshu - THE VISUALS OF THIS ANIME ARE STUNNING! Everything from the colors to the fight scenes is fantastic. I am loving the found family in this anime. The female lead in this anime is adorable! I love that she is coming out of her shell. She has been selfish at times, but I think that is changing now which will be fun to watch. The anime is definitely a little wacky, but I am having a lot of fun with it. It is nice to be watching this one with the rest of the ones I am watching because it is so different.
BEFORE YOU ASK - I am saving The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, and I am going to binge it once it is almost done.
