MARCH 2025 WRAP-UP

Another Month has come to an end. I felt better for what I completed and my momentum in March with my drama-watching. I did not complete more than I did in February and January 2025 BUT I felt a shift in my attitude. I think April I will complete a lot of things. This is for many reasons. I don't have a lot of dramas I plan to start in April. Which means I plan to continue cleaning out my current watchlist. I also have to complete a lot of other movies and dramas due to recording podcast episodes in April. I can see my entire current watchlist changing in the next month or so. April will be an interesting month for sure! I just hope I can complete everything I need too because I have a lot planned.

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN MARCH

I feel like I did a good job with completing things in March. I still didn't complete as many things as I would have wanted. I also wanted to be more caught up on what I am currently watching but that is April's problem. I am going to be binging quite a few things in April which will be new for me and we all know how horrible of a binger I am.

Medical Examiner Dr. Qin Season 1 (Cdrama) (rewatch) (VIKI): A rewatch for me. This is a solid, classic crime cdrama. It does look a little dated, but the cases are still interesting. I forgot how episodic this cdrama was. Some cases more predictable than others. I loved the trio. It is not a perfect drama but still fun. The drama did not address the big bad/case that was mentioned multiple times in the drama. It never investigated the case by the end, but I think that was because it planned for multiple seasons. I do plan to watch all of the seasons of this cdrama series that I can get my hands on legally in the USA. I know I don't have access to Season 2 (the direct sequel) of this drama so, it will be interesting to see what I think of everything else I watch.

Offline Love (Japanese Reality TV Show) (NETFLIX): I ADORE THIS JAPANESE REALITY TV SHOW! I am PRAYING we get a Season 2! It was adorable and sweet and just the perfect show to binge. I got very invested in certain people and potential couples. It is downrated because I soured on one guy after something he did and sometimes I did not like the host panel as much as I did with other shows. Also, not all of my favorites had happy endings - TOTALLY WORTH THOUGH! I need a second season of this RIGHT NOW! I also need another romance reality show to watch.

RATING: 9.5/10

Secret Relationships (Kdrama) (IQIYI): I probably would have rated this higher, but I can’t condone how toxic all these characters were. ALL the characters did actions that contributed to this. I knew this would be messy once it was revealed it would be 3 guys going after 1 guy. Acting was SUPERB. If you are looking for a light, fluffy romance - this is NOT for you. A lot of hard & intense topics were explored in this. I did like that there were some complex characters & relationships. If you are looking for a messy, drama filled toxic BL Kdrama to watch - THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

RATING: 8/10

ZENSHU (Anime) (AMAZON PRIME): I went into the anime with no expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the found family. It is hopeful but also tragic, so the story was very emotional. The visual were beautiful to watch. I did wish that we got 1 more episode at the end to get more time with the main couple together. This anime was just so unexpected for me and a delight. You could tell that the creators cared about this project and wanted to make something unique that stood out and was different to everything else that was airing at the time. I love that this was an original story and anime - it did not come from a manga or anything.

DRAMAS I DROPPED IN MARCH

I dropped 1 drama in March.

The Witch (Kdrama) (VIKI): I think I came into The Witch with differently expectations than what we got in the drama. In hindsight, I probably should not have started this drama at all. I wanted more of a mystery. I wanted more of a supernatural storyline which I hear it turned into but for me it wasn't well explained. I mainly dropped it because IT WAS SO SLOW!! It didn't seem to go anywhere. I do still need to watch the other Kdramas in this universe because I heard they were amazing!

NEW APRIL 2025 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR

April will be an interesting month for me. There are quite a few things I need to complete and watch for upcoming podcast episode recordings. I am also behind on most of what I am watching. So, the dramas I need to watch for podcast recordings and the dramas I am already watching which I am behind on WILL TAKE PRIORITY! The other thing is I am not interested in much that is coming out in April - especially the dramas that have premiere dates. So, I will also be discussing some rumored dramas in this blogpost because I won't have much to talk about if I just talk about the dramas that have confirmed premiere dates. We will see what I actually end up starting because I do have to have priorities in April and stick to them. TIME MANAGEMENT PEOPLE!

Leap Day (Thai Drama) [PREMIERES APRIL 1, 2025]

I am interested in this drama for 2 reasons. I like some of the cast of this drama. I think they have some talented actors/actresses so, they caught my eye when I found out about this drama. The synopsis is another thing that caught my eye. It is a thriller, and I think Thailand have done some great thrillers in the past. I think the synopsis of this is unique. I think the idea of a curse is always interesting to explore in a drama. I am curious how these characters are going to overcome this curse. I love exploring thriller/crime genre from other countries because I always find something unique out these compared to what I have already seen.

Karma (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES APRIL 4, 2025]

This is the one airing Kdrama I am interested in that is coming out in April. Another Kdrama I am interested in, but I was only rumored for April and now I think it was pushed to May. This Kdrama explores the lives of 6 people and how they all become entangled together. The ambiguity of the crime that entangles them all but also how they become entangled is what interests me. The cast is also another reason why I am interested in this. They have some heavy hitters when it comes to crime kdramas in this drama and I am excited to watch again in a crime Kdrama. This Kdrama looks dark and intense, just the way I like them.

Bullet Train Explosion (JMovie) (NETFLIX) (PREMIERES APRIL 23, 2025)

I LOVE THE MOVIE SPEED! This movie is the Japanese version of Speed but with a train. SO, NATURALLY I AM EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE! I always love an entertaining action movie. It helps that I like some of the cast in this movie like Saitoh Takumi. It also helps that this is an accessible Japanese Movie since it is coming to Netflix. It has been on my radar for a while. In my opinion, I also need to watch more Japanese movies and dramas because I have a LONG list of dramas/movies I want to watch which will never go down if I don't watch them.

Weak Hero Class 2 (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [RUMORED TO PREMIERE IN APRIL]

Maybe since Season 2 is rumored for April, I will FINALLY watch Season 1 and then watch Season 2 when it is actually out. I know Weak Hero is something I will like. I think I have just been avoiding it because I have seen all of the edits. The edits and scenes I have seen on social media hurts my heart because the bullying looks brutal in this drama. That also means THE ACTING LOOKS PHENOMENAL! I am also curious due to Season 2 being rumored to come out why does Season 1 needs a Season 2. Also Season 2 was made by Netflix, so, will there be a budget difference? I know I will need to watch this - I just need to get my act together and FINALLY click play.

Love in Pavilion (Cdrama) (IQIYI) [RUMORED TO PREMIERE IN APRIL]

Love in Pavilion is rumored to FINALLY premiere in April. I AM PRAYING THIS DRAMA DOES WELL! I need Leon Zhang to have a good drama where he is the lead so, he can get more attention. He has been around for a long time, and I love him. He just has never reached that next level and I would love to see him do it with this drama. I also remember seeing he is getting a lot of bad comments on social media when he first was announced for this role because people didn't like that the drama chose him. I also know how poorly the first drama in this series went so, I am trying to keep my expectations low. I just hope this actually airs in April and does well. This drama was the one I am most excited about in this series.
