FEBRUARY 2025 WRAP UP

Unlike January, February came and went quite quickly to me. I still did not complete as many dramas as I wanted or watched as much as I wanted BUT I think I am slowly finding a rhythm again. I predict that March will be better for me. The world still felt heavy for me, but I don't think I was as shocked about it as I was in January which helped. It still was stressful, but I think I have learned to deal with it or at least I seemed to mitigate it better as February went along. I think March will still be stressful, but I will be able to balance it better. I still should have completed more dramas in February than I did but I feel better about how I felt in February. I think in March; I will complete a lot more things and see a lot of progress. February started this feeling of getting better and March, it will improve again. At least I hope so.

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN FEBRUARY

Even with my mood, just like January, I still completed dramas in February. I may have completed less in the month BUT I finished some great dramas that probably are some of my favorite dramas I have watched so far in 2025. I am still working on getting more dramas on my current watchlist, but I am slowly making progress. I also plan on completing quite a few things in March that I am already watching.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (Kdrama) (NETFLIX): Now, I was a little late with binging this, so I did not get around to finishing it until early in February. I can't believe I almost did not watch this drama because it is a medical drama. I usually skip medical drama. Since I liked this drama so much, maybe I need to go back and check out some other medical dramas with this same concept that I skipped before. I really have no dislikes about this drama. It was a fantastic binge. You got found family. You got action balanced well with comedy. You care about the characters and cases. I thought the cast did quite well and had great chemistry. You really become attached to these characters. I would love to see a Season 2 and Season 3 of this drama. It didn’t even end on a cliffhanger. I do have to put a trigger warning in here for surgery scenes and wound scenes. That might be one negative for some people. You see a lot of details with both the surgery scenes and wound scenes like organs and blood. I highly recommend this!

RATING: 10/10

Unmasked (Kdrama) (DISNEY +/HULU): This is another drama that had unexpected results for me. I DEFINITELY clicked play on this drama once I saw that Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il were part of the cast. Jung Sung Il NEEDS to part of a proper mature romance already! These 2 had AMAZING chemistry together! Of course, this drama is another case of a crime Kdrama with no romance, where you want romance because of the chemistry. This Kdrama may have been advertised as a comedy, but it is a lot darker than it seemed like it was going to be. It was a little chaotic in the beginning but found its footing. As I said great chemistry with the cast. The acting in this was superb, especially from the villains. The villains stood out a lot to me in this drama. I wish we got more background of the main cast - seemed to skim over it a bit. It DEFINITELY left it open for a season 2 which might not be a plus for everyone. I would watch a season 2 though.

RATING: 8.5/10

Study Group (Kdrama) (VIKI): Look, I knew I was going to like this Kdrama a lot just with the trailer and the fact that I am a HUGE fan of Hwang Min Hyun. I did not anticipate HOW MUCH I WOULD LOVE THIS DRAMA! Hwang Min Hyun's character was a highlight of this drama for me. IT IS A FANTASTIC KDRAMA! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Per usual, I loved the found family. The duality of Hwang Min Hyun's character was a lot of fun to watch. I loved rooting for the underdogs and watching them progress and improve. The support characters also added a lot of fun into the drama. I loved that Hwang Min Hun's character was basically collecting people like they were Pokémon for this study group but also how him and the other people in this study group affected and changed the other students of the school. I loved that the drama still kept some of its manhwa feel with the special effects, fight scenes and Male lead’s “super” fighting ability. The cinematography was fantastic! Trigger Warning because it is very violent, and some people might not like that.

RATING: 10/10

DRAMAS I DROPPED IN FEBRUARY

I dropped 1 drama in February.

Danger of Her Season 2 (cdrama) (IQIYI): I said in my February Watchlist that I was going to give this Chinese drama another couple of episodes and if I still did not like it, I would be dropping it. I think I got 1 more episode in and decided to drop it. It was just bad. It didn't have good acting, and the story made no sense. I also just kept getting confused with everything because the cast was all different from Season 1. I would not recommend Season 2 of this drama.

I also forgot to mention I dropped a drama in January as well in my "January Wrap-Up" blogpost.

Iron Family (Kdrama) (VIKI): I forgot to mention in my "January Wrap-Up" blogpost that I dropped the Kdrama weekender Iron Family. I just realized I had fallen really far behind and I was avoiding clicking play on the episodes to catch up. I basically lost interest in it and not even my boy Kim Jung Hyun could keep me there. WELP - still on the hunt for a family weekender drama to keep my interest and not make me drop it if I fall behind.

NEW MARCH 2025 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR

I'll tell you what - THERE ARE ALREADY SO MANY DRAMAS THAT HAVE COME OUT FROM OTHER COUNTRIES IN 2025 THAT I WANT TO WATCH! I feel like I am already behind, and I haven't even watched a bunch from 2024 or earlier years that are on my list. That being said, we are here to talk about the dramas that have caught my eye and that are premiering in March 2025. I am so happy that I have variety in March! I was afraid that I wouldn't have a lot of dramas to talk about for March so, I am glad I did not research before I made this list.

Si Jin (Cdrama)(TENCENT/VIKI) [PREMIERES MARCH 1, 2025]

Caitlin, do you have a ton of revenge /rebirth historical cdramas that you still need to watch? WHY YES, I DO! Does that stop you from adding another one to the list? No, it does not. I still have cdramas like Blossom to watch but here I am adding this one to my plan to watch list. Luckily it premiered today, and it is on VIKI. What drew me to this drama was the synopsis. We got a female lead who is reborn to get revenge. The synopsis also states that she investigates a series of mysterious crimes which always draws me in as well. I have not seen either lead in a drama before even though I know of them and have a lot of their dramas on my plan to watch list. So, the synopsis is really what drew me attention for this drama.

The Art of Negotiation (Kdrama) (KOCOWA - probably means AMAZON PRIME OR VIKI as well) [PREMIERES MARCH 8, 2025]

Look, sometimes a lot draws me into a drama, and I do a lot of research on it. Other times, it is one thing, and that thing might be small that gets me to check out a drama. For this Kdrama, it is one small thing. Technically it is two, but Lee Je Hoon is a BIG factor why I want to check out this drama. I LOVE HIM! It is just the cherry on top that he has white hair in this drama, and he looks SO GOOD with the hair. The synopsis could be good, but we don't know much about it. All we know is that it is about a negotiation expert, and it is a workplace drama. We will have to see what else comes out of this synopsis and I just hope I am interested in it enough to continue with the drama. Will white hair keep me here for the entire drama? We will have to wait and see.

The Outlaw Doctor (Tdrama) [PREMIERES MARCH 8, 2025]

I literally know nothing about this drama but researched into March dramas, it caught my eye. One reason why it caught my eye is because Janine Chang stars in it. I have always liked her, and she has been acting for quite some time in both cdramas and tdramas. I don't know if I will have access to this, but I am interested in checking it out. It actually sort of reminds me of the next Kdrama I will be discussing about, at least with the synopsis but it is not the exact same synopsis either. It is about a man who lives in Taiwan and practices medicine illegally in Taiwan. Janine Chang's character is a Taiwanese doctor who discovers what he is doing and helps him out. They both serve criminals and the general public with this illegal medicine. They maybe find romance along the way as well.

Hyper Knife (Kdrama) (DISNEY +/HULU?) [PREMIERES MARCH 19, 2025]

I had my eye on this drama ever since the synopsis came out. I WAS SO SURPRISED ONCE THE CAST WAS CONFIRMED! I never pictured Park Eun Bin taking on a role like this. This role is going to be SUPER dark for her. Her character gets permanently kicked out from the operating room. She is a genius doctor but now has to work as a shadow doctor in an illegal operating room due to being kicked out. something happens where she meets back up with Sul Kyung Gu's character who kicked her out of being a doctor. Apparently, they have to start working together. This is supposed to be a crime/thriller drama where these doctors work in the shadows of a criminal underworld, but I am guessing they will be at odds with each other. I am really curious how the two leads will work together and why they have to start working together given what we know about their past. We will have to wait and see if this shows up on Hulu in the USA. I found that it was confirmed to show up via google but I still wait until I am clicking play on episode 1.

Gannibal Season 2 (Jdrama) (DISNEY +/ possibly HULU?) [PREMIERES MARCH 19, 2025]

Okay, I have not watched Season 1 of this yet. I KNOW! You are probably wondering how I have not watched Season 1 of this drama yet. It has been on HULU for a while. I am hoping since Season 2 of this drama is coming out in March, it will get me to FINALLY watch Season 1 of Gannibal so, I can watch Season 2. This horror crime Jdrama is right up my alley and I should have watched this a long time ago. It is about a police officer who gets posted to a remote village and discovers something is very wrong in the village and with the people living there. Given the name, you might be able to guess what that might be.... I am just hoping that I actually have access to Season 2. I confirmed via google that it is likely I will have access to it so, we will see if I can click play on episode 1.

Revelations (KMovie) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES MARCH 21, 2025]

So, this movie caught my eye for two reasons. It is coming to Netflix so; it is easy for you to watch if you so choose. The second reason is that it is a crime movie. As I have said countless times, I will always be interested in crime stuff. When I looked further into this movie, it is about a pastor from a small town who encounters an ex-convict once day. He discovers what his own relationship to this ex-convict is (I will not reveal that to you here) so, he is faced with a dilemma. Now, you can go to MDL and read more into the synopsis, but I don't want to reveal too much. What intrigued me about this movie is the dilemma a paster has to face, does he choose to have society and the police deliver justice to this convict, or does he do it himself?

Homeroom (Thai Drama) [PREMIERES MARCH 28, 2025]

So, this is a remake of a Japanese drama that I have been wanting to get my hands on FOR FOREVER! I swear if I ever find the jdrama Class 3A - All of You Are Hostages, I will watch it immediately. Again, I did not know this remake existed until I researched the dramas coming out in March. I don't know if I will have access to this but if I do, I want to watch it. It is about a homeroom teacher who takes his class hostage right before graduation. He does this to figure out the truth of a death of a student that happened months prior. The students are allowed to leave or graduate until the truth is revealed. The jdrama is praised so, I am curious what a Thai drama will look like for this. I also like the actor who plays the teacher a lot - Mew.
